Recently i've come across below question for 70-331 SharePoint exam and I want to share some explanations.
Q: You deploy a SharePoint Server 2013 server farm.
You receive a custom display temaplte.
You need to ensure that the custom display template is available in a site collection.
What should you use to upload the template?
- A. Design Manager
- B. Composed Looks
- C. Result types
- D. The Style Library
Dispaly templates consist of an HTML file and a corresponding JavaScript file. All dispaly templates can be found in the master page gallery in the Display Templates folder.
So navigate to your site collection go to Site Settings -> Design Manager -> Upload Design Files
